one happy guy

Before flying to Phoenix for James and Erin's wedding, Rob and I stopped to eat at the Aussie Pie Company. Rob knew that James, who served a mission in Australia like Rob did, would love (understatement) a meat pie. He was right.

Happy James
It was James' first meat pie since his mission, and (apparently) it tastes entirely authentic. We didn't know if we'd be able to bring the pie onto the plane, so Rob was prepared to pull a Liz Lemon at security.

While James ate his pie I ate a steak burrito from Filibertos. It was 11:30pm.

my phobia

I have a fear of being chased. I doubt there are people out there that like being chased, but anything akin to being chased freaks me out. Like this...

Rob and I went to North Creek County Park one beautiful Sunday afternoon. They have a boardwalk through the marshes with sections that get flooded as you walk over it - you can see in the two pictures how the water is covering more of the boardwalk as I continue to walk. So you have to walk really fast or up on the ledges because the water chases you, and if you're not careful the water will get you.

Freaked. Me. Out.

Some things I have been doing lately

So lately, I have had a pretty crazy desire to make movies. I have always felt a little bit like a hypocrite because I teach others how to make films, but I don't do a lot of it myself. Recently however, I went to my friend James' wedding in Arizona and decided to shoot it with a digital SLR from work. Since then I have caught the bug and am looking for more projects to complete. So if you know of anything, send them my way while the fire is hot (I don't know if that is the metaphor that I am looking for).

Here is James and Erin's wedding:

Here is an experiment with stop motion animation that I did at my niece Leah's b-day party:
