Despite what the groundhog said, February started out with amazing weather! Mid-60s and sunny in this area is like summer! Really, it was amazing.
We spent a lot of time at Juanita Beach Park which is just a 15 minute walk away from our house. Henry really likes the swings. He has started to get too comfortable on them, though, and tries to turn around in them. Pushing him on the swings is a fun way to spend an afternoon.
Here we are, on the same day as the picture above, on a walk along the downtown Kirkland waterfront.
The next day was even more beautiful. We went to a beach park in downtown Kirkland. I didn't even wear a coat!!
Saturday was the next day, so Rob got to join in on the fun. We went to a park in Bothell. The weather was just as good, but because of all the deciduous trees, it definitely still looked like winter since all the leaves were gone. I even wore flip flops... but my feet were too cold. We had fun, though. We ate lunch (Henry sat in his booster seat on top of the table) - Henry just enjoyed watching all the birds that came close - and then we taught Henry how to climb steps at the park's amphitheater. He really is learning new tricks every day!
The sunny days are over for now. They were so so wonderful. I felt like I was on vacation - vacations we've taken to California or Florida where it is sunny while it's gross and rainy in Seattle. Those vacations are my favorite!
