Sneak peak

Thanks to Natalie (Mom, Aunt Susan, Grandma, Andrea and Leah too) for helping me try on dresses for three hours straight.

This is what you're looking for

when you follow directions to get to our reception. This is the Seattle North Stake Center. See the green steeple? Look for that when you come, you can even see it from the freeway. Fun fact: it's the largest meeting house in the church.

Honeymoon

I don't want to give too many details on where we are going on our honeymoon, lest you all come and try to crash it. But I am excited to have found a girl that doesn't think it is too cheesy for me to take her to see this guy:

We are also looking for other fun things to do while we are in LA. Some thoughts so far are Pink's, The Getty, and Mann's Chinese Theater. Let us know if you have any other ideas.

We are also going to San Diego, and while I am there I am in search of the best fish taco in the world. If you have eaten it, give us a map to its secret location.

temple at night

On August 16th Rob is taking me here (and the rest of this post is pretty cheesy. warning).

This is pretty significant. It marks the completion (and continuation) of goals I've had all my life, to live in a way that would allow me to come here often, to choose to marry someone who had the same goal, and to retain a love and understanding of the significance of the temple in my life.

I often go to the temple at night, and I love to turn around and look at the temple's lights and spire when I leave. It always reminds me of this song that I used to love as a teenager.

Have you seen the temple
On a dark and quiet night?
Have you felt the power
Of it's majesty and light?
It's spires reach up to heaven
It's doors call out to me,
"Come enter in and find the joys
That last eternally."

Just wanted to share.

Where we are getting married

Steph and I are getting married in the Seattle LDS temple.  It is a beautiful building that looks like this:

Here is a site that we like that will help you understand a little more about why we are getting married in the temple.
